Visit to the Ocenarium Monday 1st June
The children enjoyed exploring the newly cleared woodland area at the top of the field.
Some of the children were keen to pick up any rubbish they could see and hence demonstrating pride in their environment. They also enjoyed exploring underneath the trees. Some of the children helped to plant some little trees.
They were so excited to find an old dinosaur! 😉

Happy Mother's Day
Ants and Bees invited the Mummies into decorate a cake as a way of saying thank you for all the hard work that Mummies do every day of the week.
The children were very excited and thrilled to see their Mummies.
We also shared a story 😊
Ants and Bees had fun learning about Chinese New Year. The children participated in races like the animals did many years ago and talked about ordinal numbers. They followed verbal instructions to make Chinese lanterns. Some of us even tasted some Chinese crispy seaweed crisps, they were tasty! Many children had a go at picking pasta up with chopsticks, childen who participated in this activity persevered and described themselves as tortoises and dolphins because they had to concentrate. Children also had a go at writing Happy New Year in Chinese and drawing Chinese dragons. At the end of the week everyone had a fortune cookie to take home and red envelope with a gold coin in it that the Ants had made as a surprise for all the Bees 😃
After walking to Tesco to buy the ingredients the children helped make pancakes. I think the photos say how much the children enjoyed them! 😃 What is your favourite filling?
